This is the second Ulike product I’ve purchased. I have their leg hair zapper and I’ve been using that for 3 years; I hardly have any hair on my legs and underarms. I trust this brand because of the results I got from the hair remover, so I thought I’d try their light therapy mask.
I saw results in just 2 treatments. I have seen my fine lines and some cologne loss around my eyes and chin fade. I have only been using the mask for 2 weeks, 5-6 days a week. I purchased the gift pack, so I got both travel and hard mask. I will switch between the two and do all 4 treatments twice with the white mask and one treatment for each light with the travel. I have a very deep glabellar line (aka frown line between my eyebrows) that I have inherited from my mom (thanks mom) and which I feel can sometimes make me look cross or angry when I'm not. Although I have been using this for a short amount of time (almost two weeks), I'm starting to see some improvement in that particular line. I have decided to concentrate my treatment in that area using the stamp mode. I make sure that my face is clean and dry and that I use the conductive gel included with the device. I gradually increased the strength of the device over time to ensure I didn't have any undesired skin irritation from use. After the recommended three minutes of treatment while in stamp mode the device beeps four times and vibrates to indicate that the treatment has concluded. I greatly appreciate that because I don’t have to stare at a clock, guess the length of time, or use an alarm when using this device. This device can get quite warm/hot if used for several different treatments around the face at the same time. I have easily mitigated this by breaking up my treatments into a daytime and nighttime routines. The gel is fragrance free and I would suggest using a small amount on the treatment area of the face right before you use the device in that area. Otherwise you will unnessarily waste the gel because it dissipates and drys very quickly on the skin. It reminds me of the consistancy of ultrasound jelly used during any ultrasound. You don't need a whole lot of it either, a little goes a long way. It does not feel greasy or leave any residue at all on the face. I look forward to what the long-term results will look like in the next weeks and months. I always thought that I would have to resort to getting botox or fillers but I would rather not do that if I can save time, money, and pain while using this device in the comfort of my own home instead! I've been impressed with the results so far, and I know I have a long way to go but I would recommend this multi-use device to help improve the look of fine lines and wrinkles as well as for its collagen boosting properties. This was the first time I have used a red light therapy and/or a microcurrent device before. I really like that it's been approved by the FDA for use which is particularly impressive as many products in the same category do not have a stamp of improval by the FDA. So far so good!
