Problem Possible Reasons Solutions
Won't Turn on

Power Issue, Operational Error, Voltage/Current Restriction Issue

1) Ensure that the device is properly connected to a power source and that the power cord is securely plugged in. Check if the power outlet is functioning by testing it with another device.

2) Then ensure that the POWER button is pressed.

3) (If applicable) Check if the adapter plug used has a current limit that prevents it from turning on.

Won't Flash Overheating, Not In Full Contact With the Skin, Blocked Sensors,
  1. Ensure that the sapphire treatment window is firmly pressed against the skin during use. It's advisable to test out different angles and positions to find the best fit.
  2. Check if the temperature of the sapphire window or the body of the device is too high, which may trigger a safety mechanism that prevents flashing. Allow the device to cool down before attempting to use it again.
  3. Ensure that the skin is completely dry before using the device. Moisture/gels/creams on the skin can interfere with the device's operation and may prevent it from flashing properly.
  4. Check for any visible damage or signs of wear/tear/damage on the device.
Light Indicator Not Functioning Poor connection Ensure that the power cord is securely plugged into both the device and the power outlet.
Unusual Odor During Use Dirty Air Inlet/Out, Burnt Hair Smell, Overheating
  1. Use a soft brush or cloth to gently remove any dust, dirt, or debris from the air inlet and outlet of the device.
  2. Shaving before using the device. Ensure that the treatment area is clean and free from any hair residue . If the smell persists, try reducing the intensity or frequency of treatments to minimize hair singeing.
  3. Allow the device to cool down between treatment sessions, especially if you're using it for an extended period.
Pain During Use Excessive Hair Length Trim long hair to a shorter length (less than 2mm)before using the device. This can help reduce pain and improve the effectiveness of the treatment.
Incorrect Technique Ensure that your sapphire treatment window is in full contact with your skin. Review the user manual or seek guidance from our customer support to ensure you are using the device correctly.
High Intensity Settings Start with a lower intensity setting and gradually increase it as tolerated. Listen to your body and adjust the intensity accordingly to minimize pain while still achieving effective hair removal.
Skin Conditions Consult with a dermatologist before using the hair removal device if you have a pre-existing skin condition such as eczema, psoriasis, or folliculitis.
Skin Sensitivity, Use in Sensitive Areas Individuals with sensitive skin may experience heightened pain during hair removal, especially in sensitive areas such as the bikini line.
Damaged Sapphire Treatment Windows Carefully examine the sapphire treatment windows for any signs of damage, such as cracks, chips, or scratches. Take a picture and reach out to Ulike Customer Support whom you purchased the device to report the issue.
Experiencing Redness After Use It's normal for the skin to experience slight redness, which poses no harm to the body and typically fades in a short time.

1)Apply aloe vera gel to soothe the skin and reduce redness.

2)Utilize the cooling feature of the sapphire treatment window. Turn on the device without activating the light feature, and gently place the sapphire treatment window on the affected areas for a cooling effect.

3)Use a cold compress or ice pack wrapped in a soft cloth to gently press against the red areas of the skin.

4)Take a break from using the device until the redness subsides, and gradually reintroduce treatments at a lower intensity level or frequency.

Not Get Expected Results Inadequate Energy Levels Start with lower settings and gradually increase as tolerated for best results.

Incomplete Treatment Coverage

(Missing areas or not overlapping treatment zones adequately can lead to uneven hair removal results.)

Take your time during treatment sessions to ensure thorough coverage of the desired areas. Use a systematic approach, dividing larger areas into smaller sections for more effective coverage.
Hair Color, Skin Tone Our devices may not be as effective on certain hair colors such as grey hair, and on darker skin tones due to the higher melanin content, which can absorb more light and potentially cause skin damage.
Skipping Treatments, Not Adhering to the Recommended Treatment Schedule Adhere to the treatment schedule as recommended, and consider increasing the frequency by using the device every other day. Consistency is key to achieving optimal results.
Certain Skin Conditions, Medications, or Hormonal Imbalances (They can affect hair growth and may impact treatment effectiveness) Extend the treatment period and continue using the device as recommended, even if results are not immediately visible. Hair removal treatments typically require multiple sessions spaced apart to achieve desired results.
Overheating Continuous or Prolonged Use of the Device (more than 20 mins), High Intensity Settings Turn the device off. Allow the device to cool down periodically during use by taking short breaks between treatment sessions.
Ambient Temperature (Operating the device in a hot environment or under direct sunlight can exacerbate overheating issues.) Use the device in a well-ventilated and cool environment to prevent ambient temperature from contributing to overheating.
Blocked Air Vents Use a soft brush, such as a clean paintbrush or a small, soft-bristled brush, to gently dislodge and remove any dust or debris from the air vents. Avoid using sharp objects or abrasive materials that could damage the device.
Malfunctioning Internal Components
  1. Turn on the device, check whether the cooling fan is operational, and listen for any abnormal sounds emanating from the internal components.
  2. To verify if the cooling feature is functioning properly, allow the device  to remain turned on and running for approximately 2-3 minutes without using it on your skin. Then take a picture of the sapphire treatment window and check for the presence of water mist on the sapphire treatment window.
  3. Monitor the device closely when it starts to overheat and take note of how long it takes for the device to become excessively hot. Additionally, pay attention to specific areas of the device that become particularly hot.( If possible, use a thermometer to measure the temperature of these areas.)
  4. Kindly reach out to the Ulike Support Team and provide them with the details, including the picture of the sapphire treatment window.
